Directed by David Lynch
2001 arguably is the best year of the past decade in terms of cinematic offerings and this is one of them. I am a BIG BIG fan of David Lynch even though he gives me a hard time to understand his works. “Mulholland Drive” was no exception, in fact it is his best work for the decade for me. It was a hypnotic thrill ride. You might think at first that you know what the hell is going on and then that box, that Llorando, that everything! It knocks you off your seat and would make you question everything about it. It also begs to be seen multiple times. But sometimes all you have to do is to let go and let the madness sink in. Naomi Watts gave a wherethehelldidshecamefrom performance, it was maddening and stunning like everything about this movie is, stunning and perfect.
